Hardt is the most advanced test center in Europe for the Hyperloop transport system and is located in the Netherlands. Unlike the traditional metro, the European Hyperloop promises to be a revolution with its unique features. In this context, The Boring Company stands out among the various current development programs for its innovative approach to this technology.

However, the Hyperloop emerges as a cutting-edge option for continental transit, with the ambitious goal of linking distant cities such as Amsterdam and Barcelona through a sophisticated tunnel system. This project has already started with a 420-meter-long test module, which includes branches for alternative routes, offering a window into the future of urban and long-distance commuting.

Although the Hyperloop One Hyperloop One Elon Musk’s Hyperloop One did not turn out as expected, other companies have taken up the baton, working to make this mode of transportation a reality. The current test phase allows travel at speeds between 75 and 100 km/h, functioning as a laboratory to identify areas for improvement.

The advancement of this technology is supported by multiple companies, the European Union and the government of the Netherlands, focused on reducing the environmental footprint of transportation, especially air transport, which has a significant impact on the environment. Hyperloop promises speeds comparable to those of airplanes, but with much less pollution, with the construction of its infrastructure being the main challenge.

It is important to note that the realization of large infrastructure works is not something new for mankind, as the longest tunnel in the world is located in Japan, extending for more than 53 km. Unlike this, the Hyperloop will require a less extensive, but equally challenging, infrastructure. This project continues to gain interest and its transportation network is expected to continue to expand in the coming months.

Importantly, the adoption of Hyperloop could catalyze a paradigm shift in urban design and city planning, promoting greater integration of green spaces and pedestrian areas by reducing the need for extensive and polluting conventional transportation infrastructure, thereby supporting the development of more sustainable and healthy communities.
