These capsules give the NamX notable autonomy, since the vehicle can travel distances ranging between 700 and 800 km without generating carbon emissions . This means that drivers interested in sustainable mobility can enjoy long journeys without the constant worry about recharging, which is undoubtedly a very attractive solution.
Regarding the recharge process, there are two options available. The first involves filling the fixed central tank with 5 Kg of hydrogen in a hydroelectric station, in addition to incorporating six removable capsules, each with 0.5 Kg of hydrogen. This process lasts approximately four minutes.
The second alternative is to change the six capsules in a CapXstore, a process that will take around 2 minutes and will provide a range of 250 to 300 km.
The development team aims to replace vehicles with internal combustion engines and overcome the restrictions of electric cars, which have limited range and rely on expensive and uncommon charging infrastructure.
The NamX uses hydrogen fuel cell technology to generate electricity and propel the engine, reducing greenhouse gas emissions while increasing energy efficiency.
To facilitate the recharging of this vehicle, the design team has conceived the CapXstore, innovative service stations that supply and market hydrogen capsules and which will be available throughout Europe. However, users will also have the option to request the capsules for home delivery.
With its hydrogen capsule system, this car presents itself as an exciting alternative to both internal combustion vehicles and battery-electric cars. Its outstanding autonomy and versatile charging options show the way towards sustainable mobility.
