The Swiss company MET Group has taken a key step in its decarbonization strategy with the commissioning of the largest battery energy storage system in Hungary. The plant, located at the thermal power plant Dunamenti thermal power plant, has an installed capacity of 40 MW and a total storage capacity of 80 MWh, equivalent to a two-hour charging cycle.
