The energy company Isagen announced that the Llanos 4 and 5 solar parks will come into service in September, with 38 megawatts in the municipality of Puerto Gaitán (Meta, Colombia) and will begin construction of the Sabanalarga (Atlántico) solar park with a capacity of 100 megawatts.
[post_relacionado]“We receive with motivation the messages from the new National Government and in particular from the Minister of Mines and Energy of Colombia, Irene Vélez, in relation to the commitment to deepen the process of energy transformation in which the country is advancing, with which Isagen is committed and of which he hopes to continue being a protagonist”, the company specified.
The company recalled that, in 2022, it has put the Guajira 1 wind farm into operation, in the municipality of Uribia (La Guajira) and in a few weeks it will bring the adjoining WESP 01 wind farm into service, thus completing 32 megawatts in operation.
“We are the first of this technology in this new era of the sector, generating energy with the wind in the country”, indicated from Isagen.
These investments total close to $1 trillion deployed in the last year by the Company in Non-Conventional Sources of Renewable Energy (Fncer), “which reflects a high level of confidence in the country and its institutions,” the firm highlighted.
According to Isagen, this has been possible due to a regulatory framework and public policies that make Colombia one of the most reliable energy matrixes in the world.
