In this interview, Gavin from Blast One talks about their company, which is a family-owned business that distributes specialty products for the abrasive blasting and coding industry, including sandblasting and painting equipment, as well as robotics.
Behind Gavin are two robots: the Verdi Drive blasting robot and the Blast Man Robot. The Verdi Drive robot is designed for working on tanks and can hold three nozzles, which is five times the productivity of one person.
The Blast Man Robot is designed for blast rooms and paint booths and is a gantry-mounted robot that can blast 2000 square feet an hour.
Gavin also talks about Blast One’s innovative snake bite nozzle, which they completely re-engineered to improve blasting noise reduction and reduce kickback thrust.
