TotalEnergies has commissioned its largest solar plant in Europe in Seville: a set of five photovoltaic installations with a total installed capacity of 263 megawatts. This complex, located in the heart of Andalusia, is capable of generating 515 GWh per year, equivalent to the electricity consumption of more than 150,000 homes in Spain.
Five projects, one solar plant strategy
The deployment of the solar field has been declared of strategic interest by the Regional Government of Andalusia. It consists of 400,000 bifacial panels with solar trackers that allow greater use to be made of radiation. Its construction has mobilized 14 companies, more than half of which are from Seville, and has generated 800 direct and indirect jobs. direct and indirect jobs.

This step consolidates TotalEnergies’ presence in the Spanish market, where it already has more than 2 million customers and is the fourth largest electricity and gas supplier.
TotalEnergies is moving forward with its integrated energy model that combines renewable sources and flexible assets such as combined cycle and storage. In Spain, it has more than 4,000 MW of clean energy projects under development, supported by a local team of 1,700 employees and three sites in Madrid, Bilbao and Oviedo.
