Solstad Offshore has managed to secure contracts and extensions to increase its presence in international markets. The company has signed contracts for around 900 sailing days, with a total value of approximately 60 million USD.
Solstad Offshore’s one-and-a-half-year contract with Petrobras
The most notable contract is the one signed for the Normand Valiant , a subsea construction vessel ( CSV ) that will begin its 18-month service with Petrobras in Brazil from February 2025. This agreement will closely follow the vessel’s current contract, ensuring its continuity at sea for more than a year and a half. The 178-metre-long vessel with advanced capabilities continues to be an essential asset for Solstad in its operations in South America.

The contract for the Normand Sagaris , an anchor and supply tug ( AHTS ), has been extended by 120 days until March 2025, when it will begin a three-year contract with Petrobras . In addition, the Normand Sirius , another AHTS in the fleet, has seen its contract extended until August 2025, with the possibility of extending it for a further 247 days.
In addition to the contract renewals in Brazil, the Normand Saracen , another AHTS, has signed a 60-day contract to perform offshore activities in Australia. This new contract strengthens Solstad Offshore’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region, a market that has proven to be important for its operations in recent years.
With these agreements, the company ensures a workload for its high-capacity vessels, while strengthening its relationship with important clients. The company continues to demonstrate its ability to keep its fleet fully engaged, ensuring long-term stability in an industry characterized by high competition and volatility.
