Karoon Energy has reported that the Who Dat East well, MC 509-1 (LLOG), has reached a measured depth of 6,614 meters in the 12-¼ inch well section, where the presence of hydrocarbons is revealed. In addition, intermediate wireline logging was completed prior to installing the 9-⅞-inch casing and the well will continue to drill to a planned final depth of 7,900 meters.
Hydrocarbons in turbidite sequences
In the next phase, the angle of the wellbore through the 12-¼-inch section is approximately 45 degrees. The data obtained during drilling and wireline logging have shown the presence of several sandstone layers with oil and gas in the targeted Middle Miocene turbidite sequences.

Additional analysis and drilling to confirm resources
