ZeroAvia has strengthened its development of clean propulsion systems by adding nine new patents this year, bringing its total portfolio to 45 granted rights related to electric propulsion technologies and hydrogen engines for aviation.

Among the new awards is a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office that features an integrated hydrogen electric motor, intended for models such as the ATR and Dash 8. This innovation is part of the ZA2000 system, which seeks to provide 40- to 80-seat aircraft with a zero-emission, energy-dense propulsion system.
