Ranpak and Walmart collaboration has announced that it will implement Ranpak AutoFill automation systems in five of its new next-generation distribution centers in the United States.

The partnership lies in the advanced technology of Ranpak’s AutoFill system. Using artificial intelligence and computer vision, this packaging automation system accurately measures empty spaces inside cartons to fill them with the optimal amount of paper.

The large-scale adoption of this automated packaging technology will streamline logistics processes, allowing orders to reach customers faster.
Likewise, by automating a manual activity such as box stuffing, employees can focus on assignments that add more value, improving their work experience and the overall productivity of the warehouse facility.
According to Omar Asali, Ranpak’s president and CEO, this collaboration shows his company’s commitment to adapting to the needs of the world’s largest retailers. Walmart’s Vik Gopalakrishnan noted that the system offers them a way to minimize waste and speed up delivery.
