Volvo Trucks has introduced the FH Aero Electric E-axle, a new electric truck designed for long-distance routes. This model introduces a range of up to 600 kilometers, through a 780 kWh battery technology that optimizes space and weight distribution, while maintaining the load capacity of a diesel truck.

The integration of the E-axle system, an electric drive axle that frees up space for more batteries, has been essential to achieve this improvement. In addition, the truck has a 6 x 2 axle configuration, which supports up to 48 tons of total weight, allowing it to transport heavy trailers without sacrificing autonomy.
[post_relacionado]This new model is prepared for the MCS(Megawatt Charging System) charging standard, allowing charging from 20% to 80% in just 40 minutes. This feature allows the energy supply and recharging and recharging can be performed during drivers’ regulatory breaks, facilitating continuous operation without compromising productivity.
The FH Aero Electric is part of the strategy of Volvo Trucks strategy towards net zero emissions by 2040. Together with other technologies such as hydrogen fuel cell and renewable fuels, this truck represents the company’s commitment to sustainable transportation and CO₂ reduction in the heavy commercial vehicle segment.
Volvo has delivered more than 5,000 electric trucks in 50 countries since the start of series production in 2019. Moreover, its new proposal adds to its services that include options for urban distribution, regional, construction and waste management.

Although production and formal orders will begin in the second quarter of 2026, interested customers can sign letters of intent for the acquisition of the electric truck. With this initiative, Volvo is aiming for leadership in the shift towards emission-free logistics, prioritizing autonomy, operational productivity and comprehensive technical safety.
