Volvo Energy has unveiled the PU500, its new battery energy storage system ( BESS ), which offers a reliable alternative for supplying electricity in remote locations, temporary installations, or areas without constant access to the power grid.

With a capacity of 450 to 540 kWh, the PU500 allows energy delivery to be customized to each customer’s needs. This mobile unit is ideal for construction projects , operations in remote regions, or charging fleets of electric vehicles on the move.
[post_relacionado]Furthermore, the Volvo PU500 integrates a 240 kW DC fast charger , added directly to the unit. This technology allows up to three heavy trucks or twenty electric cars to be charged per day, with an average charging time of 1.5 hours for a truck. Furthermore, its CCS2 connector guarantees compatibility with different makes and types of electric vehicles.
The PU500 power system can operate both on-grid and off-grid . In scenarios with weak or intermittent connections, its power boost function maintains stable operation and allows for rapid recharging of equipment.
Volvo Energy is also developing a digital platform to remotely manage the PU500. This tool will allow users to monitor consumption, schedule loads, and optimize system use. This initiative aims to increase energy efficiency for demanding projects.
