Verdagy announces the engagement of Black & Veatch to conduct a front-end engineering design (FEED) study for its 9,000 tonnes per year ( TPA ), 60 megawatt ( MW ) clean hydrogen plant in Texas.

This project, located near the Texas Gulf Coast, has an estimated investment of more than $150 million to boost the production of high-quality green hydrogen and contribute to the growth of the energy industry in the United States.
[post_relacionado]With extensive experience executing energy infrastructure projects, Black & Veatch will play a key role in the engineering and construction of the plant. The firm has a distinguished track record in developing hydrogen electrolysis and energy storage projects and will contribute its expertise in the design and execution of complex projects across North America.
Verdagy’s project will integrate eDynamic electrolyzers , designed to offer the widest operating range in the industry. These innovative electrolysis systems adapt to fluctuations in renewable energy from the ERCOT grid , maximizing hydrogen production and ensuring grid resilience. They also comply with European RED III regulations and U.S. Treasury requirements, ensuring a positive impact both domestically and internationally.
We will leverage this experience to support Verdagy in this project, which will contribute to the development of the US energy industry and strengthen its energy exports.

The plant will use electrolyzers manufactured in the United States, contributing to the transition to clean energy and stimulating job creation in the domestic supply chain. Verdagy continues to establish itself as a leading player in the electrolysis sector, with a technology notable for its efficiency and low hydrogen production costs.

With FEED design completion expected in May 2025 and a final investment decision ( FID ) scheduled for July of the same year, this project represents a step forward in the energy transition the United States needs.
