In Brazil, the Seagull debuted with a starting price close to $20,000, and there are plans to expand to additional markets such as the United Kingdom, where it could become the most affordable electric vehicle in the world. .

According to Mark Blundell, BYD’s UK marketing director, the company strives to make electric vehicles accessible to a wider audience by focusing on keeping prices low and performance high.
In a more global view, BYD has managed to sell more than 300,000 electric vehicles in the first three months of the year, registering an annual growth of 13%. Despite these impressive numbers, Tesla still leads with 386,810 electric vehicles delivered in the first quarter of 2024.
