The Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link , the world’s largest immersed tunnel , is in full swing and promises to transform the transport infrastructure between Germany and Denmark. This megaproject, which is due to be completed in 2029 , will connect the islands of Fehmarn and Lolland under the Baltic Sea , with roads and railways that will significantly reduce travel times between the two countries.
