The startup Robotera, backed by Tsinghua University, has unveiled its L7 model, a humanoid humanoid sized humanoid capable of running at 14.4 km/h, consolidating its position as the fastest in its category.
With a height of 171 cm and a bipedal design, the humanoid robot L7 stands out for its combination of physical agility and manipulative dexterity. It is capable of executing 360-degree rotations, breakdance routines and maneuvers that mimic human athleticism. At the same time, it can sort objects, use torque tools and manipulate delicate materials such as paper or textiles.

L7 humanoid robot executes complex movements
The key to its capabilities lies in an architecture that fuses hardware and software, what Robotera calls “body and brain.” This approach enables the L7 to maintain balance, execute complex movements and respond in real time thanks to sensors for panoramic vision, depth detection and positional feedback.
Its multisensor fusion system provides 360-degree spatial perception. In addition, it includes an interchangeable battery system, although its autonomy has not been specified.
STAR1 to L7
The L7 model is the continuation of the STAR1which had already demonstrated skills in traditional Chinese cooking and fine manipulation. This new version improves upper limb dexterity and outperforms its predecessor in speed.
The L7 incorporates 55 degrees of freedom in its joints, reaching up to 400 Nm of torque, which allows for fast and powerful movements. It can lift and carry up to 20 kg with both arms.
