In a strategic move to strengthen the energy sector’s supply chain in Asia-Pacific, PASSER and Qube International signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop a specialized cable storage and handling hub at the Bintan Offshore Marine Centre (BOMC), located in Singapore.
This new hub is designed to offer logistical support to both the offshore oil and gas industry and the emerging offshore wind energy sector, through integrated solutions for handling umbilicals and subsea power cables. The objective is to expand operational capacity in the region and provide efficient, reliable infrastructure aligned with the needs of the current energy market.
Other collaborations between Qube and PASSER
Furthermore, the collaboration between both companies is not new. Currently, PASSER and Qube are working together on an offshore project for oil and gas in Northwest Australia, providing services such as:
- Manufacturing of specialized offshore baskets
- Supply of high-quality rental equipment
- Technical project management
- Cable spooling operations and technical support
This agreement reinforces the shared commitment of both companies to the sustainable growth of the energy sector in APAC, highlighting their combined experience in offshore logistics and complex project execution. The vision is to create an integrated logistics footprint that responds to the current and future demands of the regional energy market.
The creation of the hub at BOMC positions PASSER as a key player in the strategic supply of infrastructure for maritime energy projects, with a robust technical and operational proposal that adds value to the entire supply chain.
