At a ceremony scheduled for Sept. 22 at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, NASA will unveil the members of its new class of astronaut candidates, selected from a pool of more than 8,000 applicants.

After nearly two years of rigorous training, these future explorers will be ready for upcoming missions to low Earth orbit, the Moon and even beyond to the planet Mars. This event is pivotal to the space agency’s ongoing space agencys continuing effort to ensure the future of human space exploration.

This test flight will take astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen on a ten-day trip around the Moon.
