Iberdrola has signed an agreement with Amazon for the creation of the 159 MW offshore wind farm from East Anglia Three, one of the largest offshore wind farms globally.

This deal extends the collaboration that favors Amazon as one of the largest corporate consumers of clean energy, totaling 54,000 gigawatt-hours (GWh) obtained from Iberdrola.

The East Anglia Three project
With a capacity of 1.4 gigawatts (GW) and 95 turbines supplied by Siemens Gamesa, it contributes to the local economy, creating more than 2,300 jobs during its construction and maintenance phase. This wind farm will supply more than one million homes with renewable energy by 2026.
The announcement of this agreement took place at Haizea Wind Group’s facilities in Bilbao,evidencing the global impact of this project and highlighting the importance of international collaboration in the promotion of renewable energies.
The deepening of the alliance between Iberdrola and Amazon is not limited to green energy procurement, both companies have also initiated the ‘Journey to Cloud‘ program.
