The Airbus-developed Racer helicopter , developed in the Clean Sky 2 project, has successfully completed its first flight in Marignane, marking the start of a series of important tests, which will last two years.

This helicopter stands out for its composite design that integrates fixed wings for efficient lifting , side rotors for propulsion , and a main rotor that allows it to operate with vertical takeoff and landing capability.

Furthermore, the Racer helicopter is the product of international collaborative work, involving some 40 partners from 13 different countries, highlighting the importance of productive development in new technologies favorable for sustainable and efficient aviation.
