On March 15, Firefly Aerospace will launch its Alpha FLTA006 mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. This flight will carry Lockheed Martin’s LM 400 satellite, a versatile platform designed for multiple applications, from communications to remote sensing.
The mission of Alpha FLTA006
It is the first in a series of planned launches under an agreement between Firefly Aerospace and Lockheed Martin . Over the next five years, Firefly will execute up to 25 missions for the aerospace company, strengthening its position as a provider of fast and efficient launches for small and medium-sized satellites.

The LM 400 satellite stands out for its flexibility, it can operate in low, medium or geostationary orbit, adapting to different clients and needs. In addition, it is designed to reduce risks and validate new technologies in space, its payload can be adjusted for military, commercial and civil applications.
This launch will take place from Firefly Space Launch Complex 2 at Vandenberg Air Force Base. The launch window will be 52 minutes, beginning at 6:25 a.m. PST as scheduled.
