Danish green technology company Explicit ApS has signed a multi-million-euro contract with Equinor to carry out a methane monitoring study on the Norwegian continental shelf . This agreement involves the use of advanced drones for the detection and quantification of the greenhouse gas at both offshore and land-based facilities.
A key step in reducing emissions
Equinor , committed to sustainability and the energy transition, has opted for Explicit ApS technology to improve its environmental monitoring. The Danish company will use its patented drone flow measurement (DFM) method, an ISO-recognised technique that enables the tracking of fugitive emissions with high precision.

Strategic expansion in Norway
To support this and future projects, Explicit ApS has announced the opening of new offices in Norway , joining its offices in Denmark, Germany and Australia. The company seeks to consolidate its presence in the Scandinavian country and strengthen its ability to respond to the growing demand for environmental monitoring with drones.

In addition, this project will have the collaboration of Cyberhawk Innovations Ltd., a British company specialized in the operation of drones for industrial inspections , ensuring maximum efficiency in data collection and analysis.
