The New Murabba project , an initiative led by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), continues to mark key milestones in its ambitious construction plan in Riyadh. The development, which aims to transform the city with the largest and most modern urban center in the world, has managed to complete 86% of excavations , moving more than 10 million cubic meters of earth.
Safety and sustainability at New Murabba
This progress has been made under strict safety standards, accumulating more than 3 million safe working hours. The company has prioritized the protection and well-being of the nearly 900 workers involved daily on the site. Michael Dyke, executive director of the project, highlighted that these achievements are the result of the team’s commitment and dedication to safety and innovation.
[post_relacionado]Additionally, the project includes the iconic Mukaab skyscraper , which will be a global landmark in terms of design and infrastructure . The excavation process has involved the use of 250 excavators and over 400 pieces of equipment daily , demonstrating the scale of the development. The focus on sustainability is also evident, with environmentally friendly methods used to manage the excavated materials.
The company has also begun construction of a temporary bridge over King Khalid Highway, which will connect the excavation site, facilitating operations and significantly reducing heavy traffic. This bridge is expected to prevent around 800,000 truck movements , directly benefiting local infrastructure.
