This agreement aims to charter and convert the BOS Princess vessel into a state-of-the-art geotechnical drilling vessel, specifically designed to meet the growing demands of the offshore wind industry.
BOS Princess: Key to global geotechnical investigations
The BOS Princess, a vessel of 80 meters in length and 19 meters in beam, will provide a stable and efficient platform to carry out advanced geotechnical research. Paolo Casciotti, president of Seas Geosciences, stressed that this project is part of its strategy to invest in sustainable technology to support the global development of offshore wind energy.

Andrea Cavo, director for Europe, Mediterranean and Americas at Britoil, highlighted the synergy between the two companies, noting that the shared commitment to clean energy makes this partnership a natural one. The BOS Princess is expected to be available on the market from January 2025, and is expected to play a crucial role in offshore wind energy projects worldwide.
The commissioning of this vessel marks a major achievement in the collaboration between Seas Geosciences and Britoil Offshore Services, and will be celebrated with a special event in January next year.
