Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners ‘(CIP) CI V fund has closed the purchase of the Beehive battery system, a 1 GWh capacity project located in Peoria, Arizona. This acquisition was made from EDF Power Solutions North America, consolidating CIP as a strategic player in clean energy infrastructure in the United States.

Beehive technology is designed to store energy during times of high renewable generation and release it during peak demand hours. With 250 megawatts of power and a four-hour duration, Beehive will contribute to the stability of Arizona’s grid.
