Stardust Power Inc. has officially broken ground on one of the largest lithium refineries in the United States . Located on a 66-acre site in the Southside Industrial Park in Muskogee, Oklahoma, the plant will be a central element in strengthening the country’s critical mineral supply chains.
About the new lithium refinery
The two-phase project envisages an initial production capacity of up to 25,000 metric tons per year of battery -grade lithium , subsequently expanding to 50,000 tons. This infrastructure promises to strengthen national energy security and generate hundreds of well-paying jobs in engineering, manufacturing and operations sectors.
[post_relacionado]The site was selected following a rigorous evaluation process that included environmental, logistical and technical reviews. Its location near the Port of Muskogee provides direct access to rail and waterway networks , key to efficient distribution of final products.
Roshan Pujari, Founder and CEO of Stardust Power, highlighted the strategic importance of this initiative, emphasizing that this refinery, in addition to addressing national security risks, supports the local economy of Oklahoma, ensuring U.S. leadership in clean energy .
State and local support
Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell and Muskogee Mayor Patrick Cale participated in the groundbreaking ceremony, highlighting the collaboration between Stardust Power and the State of Oklahoma.
