Clearway Energy has formalized the acquisition of the Tuolumne wind project, located along the Columbia River in southern Washington. The 137-megawatt facility is part of Clearway Energy’s growing clean energy portfolio, strengthening its presence in one of the regions with the greatest wind potential in the country.

This operating development, with a proven operating history, generates electricity to supply more than 44,000 homes per year. In addition, a 15-year power supply agreement was signed with the Turlock Irrigation District, with an option for future renewal and repowering to extend the useful life of the turbines.
[post_relacionado]The acquisition represents a $60 million investment, with a positive fiscal impact on Klickitat County, where the Clearway company will contribute approximately $1.3 million annually in taxes that will support public services such as schools and hospitals.
The company continues to expand its renewable generation infrastructure. In addition, its national fleet integrates more than 11.8 GW of total capacity, of which 9.1 GW corresponds to clean sources such as solarsolar, wind and batteries.
