Carbon Robotics has launched a pioneering agricultural solution called Carbon AutoTractor, a tractor autonomy system designed to improve efficiency and reduce dependence on manual labor. This innovative package is installed on existing tractors and enables autonomous operation 24/7.
The solution is monitored in real time by Carbon Robotics operators, who manage any unforeseen events through remote interventions.
How does Carbon AutoTractor work?

This technology was developed in collaboration with farmers, who helped design a product that addresses the main obstacles to the widespread adoption of autonomous tractors: frequent stops, manual intervention, and unreliable systems.

Unlike other solutions, the system includes a Carbon autonomy kit and the Remote Operations Control Center (ROCC), ensuring operators can respond to obstacles such as debris or wildlife, minimizing downtime and improving work continuity.
This system, in addition to improving efficiency in the field, increases productivity. Furthermore, the option of operating the tractor autonomously without a driver in the cab allows farmers to address work challenges and perform night shifts more safely.
Installation is simple, compatible with John Deere 6R and 8R series tractors , and requires no permanent modifications.
The Carbon AutoTractor package also integrates Carbon Robotics’ LaserWeeder, optimizing weed removal with up to a 20% increase in coverage compared to manual systems. With safety features such as high-precision GPS, 360-degree cameras, and radar-based sensors, the system offers farmers a reliable and affordable solution to maximize their farm profitability.
Currently, Carbon AutoTractor is available to select farmers in key U.S. regions, with plans to expand its availability to other areas in the future.
