Blue Origin announced the delay of the inaugural launch of its New Glenn rocket . It is now scheduled for January 12 from Launch Complex 36 in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The event, which marks a milestone in Blue Origin’s NG-1 mission , will be the first step toward National Security Space Launch certification.
New timeline for NG-1 mission
The launch, originally scheduled for January 10, was delayed due to sea conditions in the Atlantic, where the rocket is expected to land after its flight. Despite the postponement, the three-hour launch window remains the same and will begin at 1:00 a.m. EST (06:00 UTC).

One of the biggest challenges for Blue Origin will be landing the New Glenn rocket in the Atlantic Ocean after launch. Although the company acknowledges that this is an ambitious goal for its first attempt, the company remains optimistic.
