Independent Jadestone Energy confirmed positive production test results from the Skua-11ST well in the Montara field offshore northwest Australia.

According to recent operational data, the well reached more than 6,000 barrels per day in its first weeks of activity, far exceeding initial projections.
[post_relacionado]In addition, production stabilized at around 4,400 barrels per day with a choke 40% open, while preparations are underway to restart other subsea wells in the area. The well design incorporates downhole flow control devices to improve reservoir sweep and ensure more efficient recovery.
Jadestone CEO T. Mitch Little noted that strong Skua-11ST volumes support the upward revision to the 2025 production guidance updated in July. In turn, he stressed that the increase will reduce unit operating costs at Montara and extend the life of the field by approximately one year.
The Montara project (100% owned and operated by Jadestone) is located in licenses AC/L7 and AC/L8 in the Timor Sea. From this area, crude oil is transported through subsea pipelines. subsea pipelines to an unmanned platform and finally processed and stored on the FPSO vessel Montara Venture, which acts as a logistics hub for the Montara, Skua, Swift and Swallow fields.
