Advanced Polymer Coatings(APC) has been selected to apply its renowned MarineLINE coating system on two tankers operated by United Overseas Management. This operation consolidates a relationship that has been strengthening since 2021 between the two companies.
The efficiency and protection of the MarineLINE coating
The vessels involved in the contract are the 45,553-ton NCC YANBU and the 45,612-ton UACC MANAMA. Both are being refitted at the Chengxi Shipyard in China. The former started its process in June, while the latter is scheduled for September.

Twelve years later, the choice remains due to the chemical resistance properties of the coatingIts low level of absorption and ease of cleaning, which translates into less risk of contamination between cargoes and faster turnaround.
Since 2021, APC has worked on the refit of six vessels belonging to the fleet of United Overseas Management, which currently operates 18 vessels from its headquarters in Athens. This new contract reaffirms confidence in the MarineLINE system as an efficient and cost-effective solution for chemical vessel maintenance.
The cleaning effectiveness of MarineLINE-coated tanks contributes to reduced port times and fewer days at sea. These properties meet today’s demands for operational efficiency and environmental compliance in international shipping.
This contract adds to other relevant agreements achieved by APC in 2025, including a collaboration with Hafnia to apply its coating to ten tankers. MarineLINE is currently present on approximately 12% of the world’s chemical tanker fleet, with more than 700 vessels operating globally.
