Reganosa has been selected by ELTON Logistics and Services as principal consultant for the management and supervision of the construction of the LNG terminal in Dakar. The project is part of the Senegalese government’s strategic plans to diversify its energy matrix and strengthen the country’s supply security.

Project Phases and Incorporated Technology

The infrastructure will be developed in two phases:

  • The first, called “initial gas solution“, will install a modular regasification system directly at the dock to expedite the start of supply.
  • The second stage will expand the onshore facilities and include a floating storage unit with a capacity of 137,000 m³, ten truck loading bays, and two 15 km subsea pipelines.

During the engineering, construction, and commissioning phases, the company will coordinate the integration of the various contractors and ensure compliance with technical standards, quality, schedules, and costs. Additionally, it will provide support in preparing operational and maintenance procedures.

A Boost to Reganosa’s African Positioning

With a storage capacity that will reach 150,000 m³, the terminal is designed to distribute natural gas to both power plants and industrial customers. In addition to supplying Senegal, it is expected to play a key role in consolidating an efficient LNG network throughout West Africa.

This new contract consolidates Reganosa’s presence on the African continent, where it had already begun collaborating as a technical advisor since December 2023. The company thus strengthens its role as a manager of energy infrastructure on a global scale, with assets and operations in 35 countries.
