The recent announcement by McLaren Minerals marks the start of a technical validation phase for the titanium project, which will define the commercial future of the McLaren Deposit. The arrival of the drilling rig on site is not a mere routine operation; it is the driving force behind the Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS).

The titanium project’s exploration and drilling strategy

The campaign involves deploying 13,000 meters of strategically distributed boreholes to increase the geological confidence of the deposit. Additionally, technicians have established a 150 m x 150 m grid in priority areas to transition indicated resources to the measured category.

Such precision in spacing is fundamental to reduce uncertainty in continuity modeling and support the evaluation of future mineral reserves.

Under the direction of Simon Finnis, the program also seeks to explore extensions to the southern end and test the potential of the eastern Shoreline target. These efforts will identify new growth corridors that could extend the mine’s lifespan.
