South Korean company K WaterCraft has unveiled an unmanned boat powered solely by water and solar energy . This development reinforces the company’s commitment to clean technology and environmental sustainability.
The boat, which weighs 50 kg, uses an advanced water electrolysis system, which, powered by solar energy , produces hydrogen as fuel. This hydrogen is converted into electrical energy by fuel cells, while the surplus is stored in batteries to ensure continuous operation, even in low sunlight conditions.
Designed to be autonomous and efficient, the vehicle can operate for an hour with just half a litre of water , a capacity that positions it as a benchmark in the transition towards clean energy in the maritime sector.
