The General Levalle Wind Farm, with an installed capacity of 155 MW, is still under construction in the province of Córdoba, in charge of YPF Luz. The company has successfully assembled the first five wind turbines, and plans to install the remaining 20 wind turbines.

The assembly process has been complex and rigorous. Each wind turbine required the installation of five tower sections to reach a height of 125 meters. Once installed, the nacelle, power train, hub and finally the set of blades, each approximately 79 meters long, were assembled. Each wind turbine has an output of 6.3 MW, a weight of 360 tons and a total height of 204 meters.
[post_relacionado]To carry out these logistics, a special 600-ton crane was used, assisted by additional smaller equipment to facilitate assembly and assembly maneuvers. The project has accumulated more than 700,000 working hours to date.
The Engineering and Projects Manager of YPF Luz, Gonzalo Seijo, highlighted the achievement saying: “This is a new milestone for our company, possible thanks to the professionalism and collaboration of all the areas involved in the project. The assembly of the first wind turbines encourages us to continue working until we see the farm in full operation and overcome all the challenges to meet the goal”.
