The DUS V5750 unmanned surface system (USV) developed by DEMCON Unmanned Systems has set a precedent in the Netherlands by obtaining DNV type approval under the international DNV Standard Craft (DNV-ST-0342). This recognition places DEMCON as the first USV manufacturer in the country to comply with this demanding certification.

The certification process presented significant challenges, as it required redundancy in all critical systems, including the power supply, within a compact design of just seven metres.
