Yinson Production and Azule Energy celebrate significant progress on the Agogo FPSO project off the coast of Angola. Last week, the module lifting campaign of the floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel was successfully completed, marking significant progress in the initiative. This key operation for the project infrastructure represents a major step forward in the timeline of its development.
Agogo FPSO Project Successfully Completes Phase 1
Commissioning activities continue to move forward efficiently, with the load testing of essential generators already completed. These critical equipment are essential to ensure the operability of the FPSO, which is tasked with operating in the deep waters of Angola . The completion of Phase 1, focused on the Repair and Life Extension (R&LE) of the vessel, included the closure of the engineering and procurement stages, paving the way for the next phases.

Per Dyberg, Yinson Project Director for Agogo FPSO , underlined the significance of this achievement by stating: “We are excited to face the challenges ahead, continuing with precision and dedication to achieve the project objectives.” The achievement reaffirms Yinson Production’s commitment to excellence in complex offshore projects and its ability to manage all stages of development.
This progress strengthens the collaboration between Yinson Production and Azule Energy, a joint venture between BP and Eni, which is leading the Agogo project in the Angolan offshore oil field. Both companies have worked closely together to ensure the continued success of this important initiative.
