ACCIONA Energía, in collaboration with the Madrid City Council, has inaugurated a new electric station for electric cars, with several features that make it very special and modern, in the Vicálvaro district of Madrid.
Main features of the electrolinera
The facility offers 32 recharging stations available 24 hours a day throughout the year and has:
- 5 spaces for light trucks and large vans
- 27 regular cars, 4 of them adapted for people with reduced mobility
- 1 specific module for the exchange of removable batteries of Silence electric vehicles.
The charging station operates exclusively with 100 % certified renewable energy, thanks to 150 kWpsolar panels that generate about 200,000 kWh per year and avoid the emission of more than 54 tons of CO₂ each year. In addition, it has an installed power of 3,000 kW for very fast recharging.
Infrastructure designed for the future
It is planned to expand the station by 2028, adding 24 more spaces, for a total of 56 recharging points, making it one of the largest charging stations in the world. one of the largest and most versatile and versatile stations in Madrid. The entire project contributes directly to the objectives of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan and the Madrid 360 Strategy, which seek to reduce pollution and promote cleaner mobility.
