
From September 24 to 26, Panama City was the meeting point for experts, companies and leaders of the energy sector during the celebration of SLOM 2025, the twenty-first edition of the annual conference organized by the Latin American Society of Operators of Marine Oil Terminals and Monobuoys.
This event, which has promoted safer, cleaner, and more efficient terminals since 2005, once again brought together representatives from across Latin America and other regions of the world to share experiences, technical solutions , and technological advances applied to the operation of oil ports.
Three days of global exchange
Over three days, attendees had the opportunity to participate in technical conferences , specialized panels, and a trade show showcasing the latest innovations in the oil and gas sector. Companies from countries such as Mexico, Brazil, India, and China presented technologies aimed at optimizing operations, reducing risks, and increasing efficiency in marine terminals.
In addition to academic spaces, SLOM 2025 offered a favorable environment for strengthening collaborative networks among operators, service providers, and port authorities. The event’s focus reaffirmed the importance of international cooperation and ongoing technical development in a strategic sector for the regional economy.
