Danish offshore solutions provider Cadeler has signed a firm contract with Taiwan’s Synera Renewable Energy (SRE) to transport and install 35 Siemens Gamesa 14 MW turbines at the Formosa 4.5 MW offshore wind farm . Turbine installation and technical deployment of the project
Operations are scheduled to begin in March 2028 and will run for approximately 150 days. The project will utilize one of Cadeler’s new generation M-class installation vessels, specifically designed to operate in demanding offshore conditions and handle large capacity turbines.

Financial and strategic perspectives
The signed contract is estimated to generate revenues for Cadeler in the range of 70 to 80 million euros. This signing represents a part of the preliminary agreement announced by the company in September 2024, which included two wind projects in the region.
According to Mikkel Gleerup, CEO of Cadeler, this contract symbolizes a strategic step to strengthen its operation in Asia. The company already has an office in Taipei and currently has two vessels executing similar projects in the area.
