Chinese company LimX Dynamics has unveiled LimX Oli, its humanoid robot, a life-size humanoid robot designed to drive development and experimentation in applied robotics. Designed with a modular and accessible approach, Oli aims to become a key tool for researchers, educational institutions and developers worldwide.
LimX Oli moves with incredible precision
With a height of 1.65 meters and a weight of 55 kilograms, LimX Oli is built with a 31-degree-of-freedom architecture, allowing for precise and coordinated movements. The sensor system includes a six-axis IMU developed by LimX, as well as an Intel RealSense camera and a high-resolution industrial camera, enhancing its ability to interact with the environment.

One of the highlights of the project is its support for Python and its proprietary SDK, which allows users to program custom functions or integrate third-party tools. LimX also ensures compatibility with leading simulators on the market, such as MuJoCo, Isaac Sim and Gazebo, facilitating the creation of complex test scenarios without the need for additional physical hardware.
Affordable without sacrificing technology
Unlike other commercial offerings, LimX Oli is designed to offer advanced technology at a contained cost. Its modular structure allows for quick component replacements and upgrades without the need for complete redesign, making it an ideal platform for educational projects, applied research and industrial testing.
According to reports Interesting Engineering, the humanoid’s starting price is RMB 158,000 (approximately $21,800).
This launch reinforces the trend towards open, accessible robotics, ready for interdisciplinary collaboration. LimX Dynamics positions Oli as a technology product and as an infrastructure to accelerate the adoption of physical intelligence in real environments.
