Taihan Company has been selected to execute a contract valued at 181.6 billion won for the supply and installation of submarine cables at the Anma offshore wind power project, one of the largest in South Korea.

The development is located off the west coast of Korea, titled as the Anma offshore wind farm, which will have an installed capacity of 532 MW, supplying about 84 million square meters. It is estimated to generate 1,400 GWh of clean energy annually, enough to supply more than one million people.
[post_relacionado]All cables will be manufactured at the recently opened Dangjin Submarine Cable Plant 1. Transportation and installation will be carried out by the vessel “PALOS“, the only Korean CLV vessel owned by Taihan. This 100% domestic logistics deployment strengthens the country’s supply chain and technological independence in the offshore sector.
The Taihan company has been involved in similar projects such as Yeonggwang Nakwol and Southwest Offshore Wind, which has enabled it to hone its execution capabilities. As part of its growth strategy, the company is expanding its infrastructure to produce HVDC cables 640 kV HVDC cables in anticipation of future demand from projects such as the West Coast Energy Highway.
