The new Surfer type vessels have been chartered by Eni to facilitate the safe and rapid transfer of personnel to its offshore platforms. These units will be deployed in the offshore fields linked to liquefied natural gas(FLNG) projects, with an operating model that aims for efficiency in sailing times and operational safety.
[post_relacionado]Designed to operate in demanding conditions, these vessels have state-of-the-art equipment and are adapted to the standards of personnel transportation in offshore environments. With speeds in excess of 25 knots, their use will minimize transfer times between the mainland and the floating production units(FLNG).
The agreement between Bourbon and Eni is a step forward in the consolidation of specialized maritime services in the Gulf of Guinea. In addition to strengthening Bourbon’s presence on the African continent, this contract is part of Eni’s plan to expand its gas production with floating technologies in the Congo.
With this integration, Bourbon extends its Surfer fleet dedicated to offshore personnel transportation. These units, which stand out for their maneuverability and low environmental impact, are a central part of the sustainable maritime mobility strategy that the French company is promoting in different productive geographies.
