Ultranav and Beyond the Sea, a pioneer in sail propulsion, have signed a strategic agreement to integrate the SeaKite system on a chemical tanker in Ultranav’s fleet. Such collaboration aims to minimize the impact of CO₂ emissions through the use of complementary wind power.
The industrial deployment of Ultranav and Beyond the Sea
This project contemplates a progressive implementation of the SeaKite system. This year, a 100 m² sail will be installed as an operational test. Then, between 2026 and 2027, it will be scaled up to a fully functional 400 m² version.

Ultranav, with a presence in 19 countries and a fleet of more than 420 vessels, adopts solutions that align with its operational and environmental objectives.
This agreement with Ultranav is an important step in demonstrating the industrial potential of wave traction. We are no longer experimenting: the SeaKite is a ready-to-use solution designed to meet the real needs of shipowners.

This agreement reflects a concrete approach to the regulatory challenges posed by the International Maritime Organization. International Maritime Organization and anticipates the need for an effective energy transition.
