Noatum Maritime , part of AD Ports Group ‘s Maritime and Shipping Cluster, has made two investments in cutting-edge technology: the acquisition of the first electric hydrofoil pilot boat in the GCC and the integration of fully electric tugboats into its fleet.
The Artemis EF-12 from Noatum Maritime
This 12-meter-long electric pilot boat model uses Artemis Technologies ‘ eFoiler technology to lift the hull out of the water, reducing drag and improving energy efficiency by up to 85%.
[post_relacionado]Through its ability to operate without polluting emissions, the Artemis EF-12 offers customers a cleaner, more efficient option for ship piloting , with the added benefit of considerable savings in fuel and maintenance.
Noatum Maritime has also acquired two Damen RSD-E 2513 tugs, which will strengthen towing operations at Khalifa Port . These tugs are electric-powered and continue the legacy of sustainability initiated by the original unit, the world’s most powerful electric tug, recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records.
With a pulling capacity of 70 tons and rapid-charge technology that allows for a full recharge in just two hours, these tugs are ideal for completing multiple tasks without the need for constant recharging.
