Texas-based Vertice Oil Tools has taken a key strategic step by acquiring Greenwell Engineering, a firm specializing in wireline solutions for unconventional wells. This transaction strengthens its portfolio of completion technologies and consolidates its presence in key U.S. oil markets.
Fusion that boosts technological development
With the addition of Greenwell, Vertice adds advanced capabilities to serve wireline service providers and exploration and production (E&P) companies. This integration reinforces its mission to deliver precise solutions for horizontal wells, refracturing, and other critical applications in shale and complex formations.

As part of the agreement, Vert ice will expand its operations in key cities such as Houston, Denver, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Midland, positioning itself near the most active oilfields. The company will leverage its state-of-the-art testing facilities to reduce time-to-market for its new solutions.
The acquisition will allow Vertice to integrate solutions such as its EDGE™ fracturing plugs, ISO-REFRAC™ refracturing system, and REFRACSURE™ predictive analytics platform. These technologies are now complemented by Greenwell’s technical expertise in slickline tools, creating a more robust offering for complex operations.
Thanks to this strategy, Vertice not only strengthens its competitive position but is also preparing to lead the evolution of unconventional terminations with a focus on performance, safety, and operational efficiency.
