During the AMPP event opening, Johnny Smatana, Head of Business Development for Oil and Gas in North America at Integrated Global Services (IGS), offered an in-depth look at the thermal spray coating technologies the company has promoted consistently for over 35 years. From design to application, IGS has prioritized technical stability and turnkey coating solutions as core components of its value proposition.
Smatana introduced two specialized coating technologies:
Both products have retained the same validated formulation for over three decades, supported by field-proven results in oil and gas, hydrogen, and other heavy industrial applications. This reflects a rare level of engineering confidence backed by decades of on-site inspections and real-world performance.
The ceramic coating is engineered to increase thermal efficiency by improving heat transfer and reducing oxidation in fired heater tubes. It is applied in limited thickness to avoid compromising performance, and typically lasts for two turnaround cycles, reducing fuel use and operational inefficiencies in high-temperature environments.
In contrast, the HVTS coating enables carbon steel pressure vessels to perform like they were made from expensive alloys such as Hastelloy C276, without requiring pre- or post-weld heat treatment. This makes it a durable, corrosion-resistant solution for environments where maintenance is challenging or costly. Inspection reports confirm the longevity of the coating, with many vessels showing reliable performance after 30 to 35 years of service.

A defining feature of IGS is its turnkey delivery model, which mean, the company designs, manufactures, applies, and monitors its coating systems in-house, ensuring control, quality, and consistency throughout the project lifecycle. IGS's global presence spans:
This reach allows IGS to respond efficiently to complex industrial coating needs across multiple sectors and geographies.
With more than three decades of proven results, Integrated Global Services remains a benchmark in industrial coating technology. The company’s ability to deliver thermal spray coating, high emissivity solutions, and pressure vessel protection, without needing to reinvent its technology, demonstrates that in heavy industry, reliability is innovation.
