Juniper Green Energy, one of India ’s leading renewable energy companies, has launched an ambitious 100 MW solar project to supply electricity across borders to the Kingdom of Bhutan. Located in the state of Rajasthan, the solar plant marks a significant step forward in the expansion of the company’s energy capacity, which is dedicated to developing clean energy projects such as solar, wind and hybrid.

This energy cooperation agreement between India and Bhutan, which will enable the neighbouring country to receive up to 50% of the energy generated during the winter months , highlights the importance of regional energy interconnections. This project will contribute to Bhutan’s energy security and support the transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy sources across the region.
