Chinese company LimX Dynamics has unveiled a new state-of-the-art research development, the TRON 1. This bipedal robot features a modular configuration that allows it to overcome different terrains and possible locomotion needs.

The robot has optimized mobility for different scenarios, from smooth floors to uneven terrain. The platform has three interchangeable limb configurations : feet for humanoid walking, wheels for greater speed on flat surfaces, and tips optimized for balance control tasks.

The availability and price of the bipedal robot
The robot was officially unveiled in October 2024 and is currently available for pre-order through a special program with prices starting at USD 15,000 for the standard edition. With this strategy, LimX Dynamics seeks to attract academic institutions and research centers that require a flexible solution for the study of robotic locomotion.
