NASA engineers have successfully integrated the essential elements of the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope , a mission designed to change our perception of the cosmos. The integration includes the telescope, instrument support and two advanced scientific devices.

The newly assembled hardware will undergo a series of rigorous tests that allow for emulation of launch and operation conditions in space. Evaluations include vibration testing , electromagnetic events and thermal vacuum , ensuring that each component can withstand the extreme conditions of space and work in perfect harmony.
[post_relacionado]These tests will also verify that the communication antennas do not interfere with other observatory systems, ensuring that the mirrors and instruments are precisely aligned throughout the space mission.
Over the next few months, technicians will assemble the deployable aperture cover and add the solar panels that will power the telescope. The complete structure will be assembled by the end of 2026, allowing the mission to move forward toward its goal: studying dark energy, exoplanets, and galaxy formation with a precision never before achieved.
